The DVD of "Twiga Stars: Dada wa Mpira" will be released in Tanzania on Wednesday, April 20, and will be sold by the players involved in the film, as well as the women's football clubs of Dar es Salaam... with 100% of the proceeds remaining with the players and the clubs.  The filmmakers have printed 5000 copies of the DVD, which will be donated to the players and clubs to sell and/or give out at their own discretion.  Each national team player will receive 50 copies, and each club will receive 200 copies, with additional copies going to the TFF, FIFA, CAF and others instrumental players in promoting women's football.  Additionally, Pili Pili Entertainment will be distributing the DVD in stores throughout Tanzania and have pledged to give 50% of their profits to the Twiga Stars team.

The film "Twiga Stars: Dada wa Mpira" is directed by Nisha Ligon, and follows a year in the life of the Twiga Stars, Tanzania's national women's football team.  It gets to know the players in their lives on and off the field, and tells the dramatic story of their rise in the football world.  The film has been screened at film festivals worldwide, from the Africa International Film Festival in Nigeria, to the Thin Line Film Festival and Vail Film Festival in the USA, to the Africa World Documentary Festival in the Caribbean... and many other places the world over, where it has garnered much critical acclaim.
